Smiling cat

This is probably one of the more surprising gravestones in Montparnasse cemetery…

He is just one big happy cat for eternity.

  1. Hello Barbara .. I have the very same photo ๐Ÿ™‚ went there in April 2009 (first trip) . Leesa and Andrea walked us through there .. I wouldn’t think of walking through cemeteries in the UK .. BUT there is one in London that is worth a visit .. Highgate cemetary, North London.

I love how the cemetary has a huge mixture of headstones, .. in the UK we have to abide by so many rules and regs .. not fair really .. should be allowed what we want.

    hugs Anne xx

    HAHAHAAHHAHAHA! LOVED it, Barb!!

And being a cat lover, I adore this photo! What a unique gravestone. I’m wondering if the cat symbolizes something to do with the deceased person’s spiritual beliefs?

Thanks for sharing, my friend. Enjoyed!

  3. Hi everyone ๐Ÿ™‚
Anne- I am glad that you could go on your first trip. It is a good walk about here, but easier than Pรจre Lachaise! Montparnasse is an eclectic mix of old and new, famous and everyday. I haven’t been to Highgate but, maybe the next time in London I may check it out!

Ronnie- I had a feeling that this would make you laugh!! It is fun and whoever Ricardo is seems to be having a good laugh on everything! Maybe it is a provocation to establishment? He is happy, whatever the case xo

Zhu- I think that I left you scratching your head ๐Ÿ™‚ When I see colors like this, I think of Mexico. Well, Ricardo sounds Latin!
