Our two day break

Two days might seem for a lot of people rather short and nothing to get excited about. Well, not so if this happens to be your first trip away from home in over a year. Yah!! Well, we have to start slow; with our current situation  we are unlikely to do a cruise around the world or do our “dream trip” ( New Zealand). Rats … we will have to work on that.

We fell back on our old stomping grounds in la Touraine, which is in Central France. We are getting some strength in the fact that not only is this not too far from our Paris suburb home but, is also an ancestral area. My hubby’s Mom was born here and we always stop in the village where hubby’s maternal granny was born & raised.

We saw both an excellent zoo( honestly, not in la Touraine, but in a neighboring area) and a brief walk through a medieval city. Below are two tidbits:

I do miss having a cat at home but, this is too much!  He looks so peaceful.

Walking alongside the medieval city at Loches, in Touraine.

I will start with the zoo very soon 🙂 Bye for now.

  2. Hi there Ronnie,

I am happy to see you here! You see; sometimes, you don’t need to go far to have a good time. I was grateful to have this and to change environments.
Isn’t that lion the “cat’s meow”? hehehe 🙂 Gorgeous! This zoo used to have white lions in the 1990s,too. We searched but could not find any.
    Oh well…
    See you soon, pardner! xoxo
