When the Eiffel tower got a big kick

These are certainly not your average Eiffel tower pics:

Along side the 100% Pure New Zealand exposition.

Closer yet:

There it is; a rugby ball! For the Rugby world cup 2007. I really like this picture. The contrasts of dark and white and the geometrics are very cool.

If you go to the next post, you will see what we went to see at the New Zealnd exposition across from the Eiffel tower.

  1. Three BIG cheers, Barb!

OMG…I LOOOOOOOOVE these photos of the tower! Stunning! I’ve never seen it that close up before!

    Yes, indeed, my friend…..VERY cool!

    5 stars!

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Oh yeah….it’s definitely that last photo that made me stare forever. What a brilliant shot with all the wires/framework. Like Ron–never seen it that upclose and personal.

As for the dance and duds–I’ll admit I thought those were bunny ears on the gals.

    I know, I know……naughty corner!! πŸ˜‰

  3. Hi friends-
Valerie- Thank you. I enjoyed sharing these archived pics. I love watching the haka, too!
It is very exhilarating up front. Though, the dancers were very good, it lacked the “electric” intensity of an All Black haka. Simply magical πŸ™‚
    See you soon.

Zhu- Thanks; I am glad that you liked the perspective on the first. It kind of looks like the ET layed a huge egg. πŸ™‚ What is called”the chance of a lifetime”, as this probably wasen’t back. Bises.

Ronnie- Merci! Can you imagine; 4 years in the bucket already. When I did this one, I had my personal blog. I had a quick look and there was no one left from that period.
But, that’s OK; let the past alone… I am glad that you enjoyed them.

Mel- Yes, you can get yourself lost turning around up there! Metal beams on all sides.
It is dizzying to take; tip your head up there, zoom & shoot.
I was expecting someone to say bunny ears!! It dosen’t surprise me that Mel said it!
They are like Pocahantus, with feathers in their hair. Shoot…
    Naughty funny comment πŸ™‚

  4. I really enjoyed that series – le tour eiffel always raises my spirits anyway but the angles you have on it here are neat, and the link with the previous past made this a very enjoyable browse!

  5. Hi Joyce,

I am so glad that you enjoyed this πŸ™‚ It was really fitting with world cup and New Zealand as the host country.
I am very happy to show your your favorite tower, along with a sprinkling of restless Maoris! Now, if I could only catch the haka one in the Southern Hemesphere. After all, anything is possible in life.
    Hugs x
