A close up look into a bedroom inside one of the homes in the Acadian Historical village.

The loom and the bed…

The spinning wheel.

Who wants to try and make their own “threads”? 🙂

  1. Hey there Barb~

Love the ‘dreamy effect’ of these photos because it gives them such a beautiful “times gone by” feel!

Reminds me of the Amish country here in PA.

    Well done, my friend!

    1. Hey Ronnie,
I put in the soft look especially to dream :). It is very suited for this type of old setting.
Oh my goodness; you guys are reminding me of places that I have to experience one day: colonial Williamsburg and Amish country.
Thanks for your kind words, dear.

  2. Those inside photos can be tricky with the lighting. I never know what to do with the settings. LOL Yours turned out well.
And I’m all about the loom……how cool is that?!

    1. Hi Mel,
Truth or dare time. People were passing though and I had to do this rather quickly. Automatic mode! Yes I agree; interior lighting is tricky. When I have the time I can up the ISO or a larger lens opening. No fiddling time here!
Oh yes; I loved the loom. I imagine “clickity-clack!”…

  3. Hi Bij,
I somehow love what modern people would call the “spartiate” quality. Refreshing change from overcharged interiors in modern times.
    Thank you very much :).
