Weekly photo challenge: Lost in the details

This particular object is definitely lost in the details. It is a fountain formed entirely of shells. All different types of shells, of many types and forms. Yes, there are details galore. This particular fountain is tucked away in a corner of a huge park called “Parc de Sceaux” in the South Paris suburbs.

Are you lost in all those details? Just look into my eyes…

Have a happy week. 🙂

  1. First of all, Thank you for the link about shooting in ‘auto ‘ …I’ve had the camera for years but still resort to auto when I’m worried I’m just not getting what I want in other settings. And by other settings I mean the pre-set ones. LOL. I still ain’t brave enough, period.
And this little fountain is just adorable. Wow did you get the details….and wow what a creative mind it was that pieced this one together with great intent!

    1. Hey there Mel,
You are very welcome for the link. It’s all learning & what & how we do it is up to each of us.You know what is best for you.
I had a few ideas for this challenge but this fountain won! A celebration of creativity!!

  2. WOW Barb…what an AWESOME capture!!!!

That fountain is stunning! The colors are amazing! And I love how you caught the water so beautifully coming from the opening. It’s absolutely perfect because you can see the movement of the water, and yet it’s razor sharp!

Also, I love the ‘soft focus’ on the second image. It looks dreamy!

Have a terrific week, my friend!

    X to you and D!

    1. Hi there Ronnie,
Thank you very much, babe. The colors are actually from the “boost” feature; they have been intensified a bit. This is a basic feature in most post-editing programs.
I love working with water, to “stop” the movement. Water is so fun to photograph.
      You are very welcome! xox

    1. Hi Joycelyn,
      Thank you my dear.
You should have a fountain to make wishes on. The sound of water is such a beautiful thing. Like falling asleep with the rain falling on the roof. Have a peaceful Monday.

  3. I don’t know if it is my computer , or wordpress , being annoying …. anyway … I hope you are well ,… keep shooting 🙂 xoxx

    1. Hi Anne,
Thank you sweety; all comments arrived safely. Don’t worry be happy;).
This fountain is way over towards the side near the church. I will show you a next time. 🙂

  4. Hi Bijoux,
I hope that you have had a good week so far. Thank you for your visit.
I have to take off my hat to whoever did this work. What patience… Shells are nature’s gifts. My Mom used to work in a gift shop that featured LOTS of shells. We had tons at home!
    Cheers 🙂

  5. Beautiful! Btw. I love the new look of your blog. I know it’s been there for a while, but it’s really nice and sleek and flattering to all your lovely photos:)

    1. Hi Mitzie,
It’s nice to see you. Thank you; I wanted to do a very quiet template change. This one is like a photo album. Thank you for your kind words. Spring is coming and I am gearing up for Spring day trips. Yay!! You take care and be well.
