Red brick buildings in Honolulu

These red brick buildings (and a cathedral) are in the vicinity of the the financial district of Honolulu.

The old brewery building on Queen street.

I loved composing with the windows and the chunky door of the brewery.

Old and new. A very old building near a modern building. Fort street area.

Our lady of Peace cathedral. Fort street area.

Another red brick building near skyscraper neighbors. Near Queen street.

  1. Many Thanks, Anne.
I love old buildings. I will search out historical or old buildings when I am on a trip.Since statehood (Hawaii became the 50th American state in 1959), many old buildings have made way for modern buildings.
The buildings in the photos are among the survivors of the pre-statehood era.
